DISCOS FOR OVER 18s

 

Once a month, on a Thursday, at The Crosswells Pub, Langley.

We offer our Options for Leisure participants  a choice of  activities, which may include:

 

Bowling

Cinema trips 

Christian groups

Football training

Holidays

Day trips

Snooker

Local trips

Meals out

Theatre trips

Youth clubs

 HOLIDAYS

 

These include Gateway Camp, Spring Harvest, canal boat holidays, Butlins, camping and caravan holidays, and an annual European holiday.

LOCAL CHURCHES PROJECT  

Enabling local people with learning disabilities to integrate into church community life and worship, with support from existing church members.

CHRISTMAS DAY

 

Celebrating the day with others who might otherwise be on their own. Staff, volunteers and their families and friends give their time freely to organise this special day.

 Weekend countryside walks of 4-12 miles every 6-8 weeks to beautiful and interesting places, including Clent Hills, Peak District, Cannock Chase, Kinver and Malvern.

YOUTH CLUB

 

 The group meets on Monday evenings at Oak Green Lodge, and enjoys various activities and trips out, as well as a summer activity holiday.

 

STEPs 

 

Regular evening activities using Oak Green Lodge and community facilities e.g. cooking, art, snooker, ‘look good feel great’.

WARLEY LEISURE FOOTBALL CLUB

 Provides weekly training and matches for those who enjoy playing football. The team takes part in local, regional and national football competitions guided by a trained part-time coach and volunteers.

 

ONE-OFF PROGRAMMES 

 

Evening and weekend activities, such as bowling, meals, cinema, trips and shows.

 

UK ONLINE

 

Options for Life has a UK Online centre, giving local people access to computers, and free, unlimited internet access, backed up by help and advice. Four computers are available, each with a firewall so that only sites that are safe and secure can be accessed. There is no printing available but users can bring a memory stick to save information.
