Building-Based & Community Day Opportunities

Options for Life provides flexible day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and complex support needs.
Our approach combines activities at our hubs with opportunities to access the local community. Each participant's programme is developed around their individual needs, interests, abilities and personal goals.
Participants are supported to make choices about how they spend their time and can take part in a varied programme of social, recreational, creative and skill-building activities.

Person-Centred Day Opportunities

There is no single programme that everyone is expected to follow.

We work with each participant to understand what they enjoy, what they would like to achieve and the support they need.

Activities can support people to:

  • Develop and maintain independence

  • Build confidence and communication skills

  • Develop friendships and social connections

  • Learn new skills

  • Take part in hobbies and interests

  • Improve health and wellbeing

  • Access their local community

  • Work towards personal goals and outcomes

  • Try new experiences

Support Tailored to the Individual

We support people with a wide range of abilities and needs, including individuals who require additional support with mobility, communication, sensory needs, personal care or accessing the community.
Where people require higher levels of individual support, this can be incorporated into their agreed support package.
Every participant has a person-centred support plan based around their individual needs, choices and goals.
We work with participants, families/carers and relevant professionals to make sure that support remains appropriate as needs and circumstances change.
