Fundraising - different ways to donate

Individual Donors

We rely on individual donations to provide some of our support to people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Any size of donation makes a difference. If you are able to give a regular gift, this provides long-term, stable support to our participants. It helps run vital services. Whether a regular or single gift, every donation counts to the people we support, their families and carers.

Donate online- It is quick and easy to donate online. Using online donation form you can:

• Make a one-off donation or become a regular donor

• Pay in money from a collection or a fundraising event online

• Make a donation in memory of someone or in celebration of a special occasion.

Pay directly into our bank - You can make a donation in person at the bank or by doing an online transfer. Please call our Fundraising team on 0121 544 6611 or email them at maruf.ahmed@optionsforlife.info. They will be able to send you a paying-in slip to use at any branch of Lloyds Bank and take your details so we can send you an acknowledgement letter. Alternatively, they can provide you with a reference number and details to use for a bank transfer.

Corporate Fundraising and Sponsorship

Some of the ways corporate businesses could support our work:

Charity of the Year - Please consider nominating Options for Life your charity of the year.

Employee Volunteering - Staff teams can volunteer for Options for Life by helping at our community garden sites or social events. Volunteering is great for team building and getting to know the people we support better and us.

Event Sponsorship - We organise several events a year, including Christmas Carol Service, Raffle Draws, Movie Shows, exhibitions of the products our participants make in their workshops, etc. These events help combat the social isolation and exclusion that many disabled and vulnerable people can experience. Sponsoring our events means offering exciting activities throughout the year and engaging those most at risk of loneliness.

Payroll Giving - It is a simple and tax-efficient scheme that allows your employees to regularly donate to a charity of their choice directly through their pay before tax which means a £5 donation will only cost your employees £4. Some employers also generously choose to match their employees’ donations. Setting up a payroll-giving scheme in your organisation is straightforward and free of charge. You simply need to sign up with an approved Payroll Giving Agency to process your employees’ donations and send the money to Options for Life.
