Participants had a day out to RAF Museum in Cosford. They visited the National Cold War Exhibition with its eye-catching architecture and design, discovered Cold War stories in immersive Hotspots; explored thrilling displays of aircraft, iconic cars, models, tanks and even life-sized Russian dolls. Participants were marvelled at the world's oldest Spitfire and several other classic aircraft in the War in the Air Hangars.
The group had the opportunity to explore fighter aircraft, tanks and bombs used during WWI and WWII, they explored the history of the changing designs of military equipment used during the time to the present day and were also able to sit inside a fighter jet and handle the steering and press the numerous buttons to make certain parts of the aircraft move just like they used to when in flight.
