It’s been another fantastic week at Options for Life, full of teamwork, creativity, new experiences, and personal achievements from our amazing participants.
In the kitchen, our talented group worked extra hard to prepare a delicious Tuna Pasta Bake, along with two other mouth-watering meals. The team collaborated beautifully—supporting each other, sharing tasks, and learning together. Their efforts really paid off, and we captured lots of smiles and concentration in the photos as they cooked up a storm. Well done to everyone involved!
Over in the music session, participants were fully engaged, exploring sound and rhythm in a fun and relaxed environment. The joy and creativity were clear to see—and we have the photos to prove it!
During the art session, our participants got creative making colourful caterpillars, proudly showing off their work in photos. It's always amazing to see their imagination come to life through art. Great work, everyone!
We’re also excited to welcome Sarah to the Green Team! Sarah shared that she loves gardening and often helps her mum with weeding at home. She jumped right in, helping to weed around the Broadbeans and Cabbages, and even planted out some Runner Bean plants. Meanwhile, Matthew showed great care and safety by wearing gloves while clearing brambles—fantastic teamwork all around! The photos from the garden show how much care and effort went into their work.
Nita had a lovely day yesterday in Walsall, enjoying a game of bowling where she got a strike on her first go and went on to win the game with an impressive 94 points. What an achievement—well done, Nita!
In the baking session, Angela made delicious sausage rolls that turned out brilliantly. She showed great focus and skill—her finished product looked (and smelled) amazing!
Claire had a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon in West Bromwich, where she had a lovely meal, did a bit of shopping, and enjoyed a good chat over a cup of coffee with staff. It’s the little moments like these that really brighten up the day.
On Monday, Laura from the Acorn Lodge hub visited Dudley Zoo. She particularly enjoyed the owl show, the breathtaking views, and seeing a variety of animals. She had her lunch on the castle grounds and soaked in the scenery while she ate. It was a day full of wonder and discovery!
We’re so proud of the progress and enthusiasm our participants have shown across all activities this week. Whether in the kitchen, garden, art room, or out and about in the community, they continue to shine.
