Refurbishment of Windows at Oak Green Lodge
We are proud to receive a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund's Awards for All for our Refurbishment of Windows at Oak Green Lodge project. We will be able to replace the outdated and draughty windows at the hub. We will install new energy-efficient windows that will improve insulation, reduce heating costs, and provide a more welcoming and consistent environment for everyone. A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All programme and the players of the National Lottery for believing in our work!

Eat Better Project
We received a grant of £1,200 from the Grimmitt Trust for this project. The Eat Better project will address poor diets for adults with learning disabilities by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to prepare nutritious meals independently. Learning to cook will also improve mental well-being and social engagement. This project aligns with the objectives of providing participants with holistic support and enhancing physical health and emotional well-being.

Pantomime Trip for Options for Life Participants
We received funding of £ 2,335 from The Baily Thomas Charitable Trust and £980 from Creative Black Country, which will empower Options for Life to embark on the captivating initiative of organising “The Pantomime Trip for Options for Life Participants with Learning Disabilities”, ensuring a memorable and inclusive experience for the participants. The primary objective of this project is to foster social inclusion, cultural engagement, and entertainment for an often underserved group within our community. The project seeks to break down barriers by providing a unique opportunity for individuals with learning disabilities to engage in a joyous and immersive theatrical experience. The outcomes include social integration, increased confidence, and a sense of belonging. The grants will also provide transport to and from the venue.
Thanks to our funders for these grant awards.

Cooling for Comfort: AC Installation to Support Vulnerable Participants
Options for Life is proud to announce the successful receipt of a £11,956 grant from The Eveson Trust, which will fund the installation of a comprehensive air conditioning system at our Oak Green Lodge hub. This much-needed upgrade will ensure a more comfortable, accessible, and climate-resilient environment for our participants- individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who rely on our services for personal growth, engagement, and well-being.

Thank you to The Eveson Trust for this generous grant award for the benefit of our participants with learning disabilities.

Inclusive Cycling Initiative
We have secured £1,455 from the Sandwell Active Travel Community Grants Scheme to purchase one adaptive bike from Theraplay and a protective helmet from Halfords. Our participants in Langley Park will use the bike daily, providing a safe and accessible environment for regular cycling. This will enable individuals with learning disabilities to enjoy physical activity, gain confidence, and improve their well-being through increased independence and outdoor social engagement. We would like to thank the funder for this generous grant award.
