This week, participants from Options for Life embarked on an exciting journey through time with a visit to the Lapworth Museum of Geology at the University of Birmingham. From awe-inspiring volcanoes to ancient dinosaurs, the museum captivated their imaginations as they explored life on Earth over the past 3.5 billion years.
As they entered the museum, they were greeted by innovative galleries filled with exceptional objects from one of the UK’s most impressive geological collections. Participants were fascinated by the array of fossils, crystals, and natural minerals on display, offering insights into how these elements have shaped our world and influenced our daily lives.
One of the highlights of the visit was a fun challenge to discover letters hidden around the museum that formed a special word. This interactive activity added an extra layer of excitement as everyone eagerly searched for clues throughout the galleries.
The museum’s exhibits, featuring dazzling crystals and intricate fossils, sparked curiosity and encouraged participants to learn about the Earth’s history. From touching replica dinosaur bones to observing volcanic rocks, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Of course, no visit would be complete without capturing memories. Participants took many photos to showcase their experiences, ensuring the day would be remembered for years to come.
We are grateful to the Lapworth Museum of Geology for providing such an engaging and educational experience. Visits like these not only broaden our knowledge but also strengthen connections and spark joy among our participants.
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures as we continue to explore the world around us!
