This week at Options for Life has been filled with creative expression, peaceful reflection, and exciting journeys out and about in the community!

Yesterday, participants in our Healthy Minds group took part in a deeply calming relaxation session led by our wonderful staff member Carol. With gentle stretches, meditation, and sound therapy using the soothing tones of a Gong, the session helped slow down hyperactivity and provided a peaceful mental reset. Luke even decided to join in—and we’re so glad he did! Everyone left feeling more grounded and serene.

This morning, the focus turned to creativity as participants created beautiful artwork to brighten up our much-loved secret garden. The pieces will be laminated and used to decorate the walk-in shed, bringing even more colour and joy to the garden space. We’re so grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for supporting the revitalisation of this area, which is now a regular hub for daily summer activities. 🌼🎨

Meanwhile, Robert, Chris, Jonathan, and Jamie headed off on a community adventure in the electric car. Their destination? The Severn Valley Railway at Bewdley Station! After exploring the historic trains and enjoying the charm of Bewdley town centre, they had a relaxing lunch in the picturesque walled garden of Bewdley Museum. With sunshine and smiles all around, it was truly a fantastic day out.

Whether relaxing the mind, expressing creativity, or discovering new places, our participants continue to shine. Stay tuned for more stories from Options for Life as we keep learning, growing, and connecting together.
